(YOU MUST HAVE THE BOOK APPROVED - DO THIS BY EMAIL!)

Briefly summarize the main theme(s), or else some set of ideas
that struck YOU as important.
(REMEMBER: A book critique IS NOT a book report)

This assignment is based on the belief that many novels often contain
significant sociological insights. For example, issues of power, social
justice, class, right and wrong, values, or the genesis of social conflict
and ways to resolve it lie at the heart of many books.

In the bulk of the paper (about two-thirds to three-fourths), discuss how the
book your chose provides insights into the social world that we might
not have had if we had not read the work.

In short: What did YOU get out of the book that's relevant to sociology
or that helps us understand things better?
