DUE: October 19 (At the start of class) VALUE: Up to 10 points LENGTH: 750-800 words (3-4 pages) For this exercise: View the movie: THE HARDER THEY COME (a Jamaican movie starring Jimmie Cliff) 1) Summarize what the movie is about 2) If you were to write a lecture for sociology 170, what relevance would you say that it had for the course 3) List 5 points that you would want your students to take from the movie 4) Does the movie challenge the way we think about things? 5) Is there anything new or different that the movie made you thing about? These are just guidelines. Feel free to develop other themes or ideas. Your task is to show that you've thought about the relationship between the film and course material.
