Extra Credit--Movie Critique

DUE:  September 28
Up to 10 points
Length: 750-800 words (3-4 pages)

Look at the movie SIDEWAYS (netflix or blockbuster or some other rental)

NOTE: The following MUST BE in essay format, not a list or short answers
as if it were a short answer exam.

In class, we suggested that the movie gives insights into bonding,
culture, and other themes we are addressing in lecture and the class.
The trick is to THINK sociologically and then say something interesting.

1) Summarize what the movie is about
2) If you were to write a lecture for sociology 170, what relevance would
   you say that it had for the course
3) List 5 points that you would want your students to take from the movie
4) Does the movie challenge the way we think about things?
5) Is there anything new or different that the movie made you thing about?

These are just guidelines. Feel free to develop other themes or
ideas. Your task is to show that you've thought about the
relationship between the film and course material.
