NOTE: The grade for this is assigned like we grade movies: For example,
a 5 on movie is a "C" - so 15 points would be a C on this paper. Don't
do it to BS - you have to know what you're talking about.

Read The Polish Peasant (short version, not all three volumes) by
William Isaac Thomas and Florian Znaniecki. 

1) Summarize their main themes, their method, and what theoretical
perspective you think this is closest and why.

2) Then, find at least one RECENT study that relects their themes
(use Jstore to get the article or even go to the library). Two would
be better. By "recent," I mean last 20 years.

3) Then, try to apply their theoretical perspective, drawing from the
recent articles, to something relevant to Chicago.

(note - this is broad because it gives you the chance to brainstorm)
