BRIEFLY explain what the Belmont principles are and list time. --RESPECT: Protect your subject, be truthful with them, do not exploit them, do not deceive them. --BENEFICENCE: Do nothing to harm your subjects! Minimize risk to them; anticipate problems you might cause them. --JUSTICE: Be fair and reasonable to your subjects and in how you present data about them. Weight "costs/benefits" of the consequences of your interaction with them and your research. "Do the right thing." 2. You have submitted your proposal for research (e.g., paper #1) to the NIU Institutional Review Board for approval. They look at it and then tell you: "Select any two of the Belmont principles and BRIEFLY (one sentence each) explain the relevance of each to your research project."
