Peter Singer's "Practical Ethics" touches heavily on many of the themes of
justice we've addressed this semester, including "why be just," how we integrate
justice into our lives, and how we separate "right" from "wrong." He expands
these issues in this volume to include animal rights. We will start a
conference on webboard in a few weeks. We will also use him to discuss
animal rights.

The assignment: Write what you got out of the book and how you would
relate it to social justice if you had to give a lecture on it.
