HOW TO SIGN UP FOR WEBBOARD AND SOCI 452 LISTSERV

It says "soci 473," but it's actually our Soci 452 page. Sign in as a new
user, and then log back in and follow the instructions. This is major
part of the class, so get on it immediately. 

To sign up for the class listserv:
Send a message with this in the SUBJECT line:   subscribe
Put this in the message area:   subscribe soci452 firstname lastname

NOTE: 
  a) soci452 is all one word.
  b) "firstname" is YOUR first name, not the word 'firstname'
  c) "lastname" is YOUR last name, not the word "lastname"

So, for me, it would be:  subscribe soci452 jim thomas

Send it to:   lisproc@venus.soci.niu.edu

The class has a significant online component. Therefore, it requires
that you are a self-directed learner, have regular access to Internet
resources, and are able to keep up on assignments regularly without
falling behind.

If you feel that you are unable to do this, I encourage you to drop the
class, because if you fall behind, there is little way to catch up.
