June 23 Discussion

On the first day of class in Rockford, June 23, the following questions will
guide lecture and discussion:

1) What are the types of Social Justice?
Read Michelle Maise

2) Are there Christian antecedents for contemporary views of social justice?
(review the Christian Bible, and read the liberation theology links)

3) Is social justice only a social construct or set of relativistic normative
principles, or are that transcendent (something above us and outside of us)
that guide it?

4) What is the relationship between social justice and ethics?
