Movies and Social Justice

POINTS: Up to 30
DUE: TUES, July 21
LENGTH: About 1,200 words

Movies present images, and images reflect cultural norms and values.
Therefore, movie images can reflect, reinforce, challenge, critique, or
promote images of social justice just as they promote images of gender,
ethnicity, or other social behavior.

We have discussed movies and social justice on WebBoard. For this
exercise, select any one (but only one) of the following movies and
explain what social values the movie reflects and what images of
social justice you worth discussing in the movie. Movies are avaiable
from Netflix, Blockbuster, or even on the Internet.

From this list, choose one:

--Soylent Green
--Milagro Bean Field War
--Lagaan
--Any Michael Moore movie
--Any Clint Eastwood/Dirty Harry movie
--Blade Runner

NO BS - this is the chance to show you've done readings, followed
issues, and can apply material.
