September 1 Discussion

For class tonight, we will combine lecture and small-group discussion.

Guiding our discussion will be three questions:

1) What are the types of Social Justice?

2) Are there Christian antecedents for contemporary views of social justice?
(review the Christian Bible, and read the liberation theology links)

3) Is social justice only a social construct or set of relativistic normative
principles, or are that transcendent (something above us and outside of us)
that guide it?

4) What is the relationship between social justice and ethics?

(NOTE: Draw from Tyler, URLS and WebBoard. 
We will have a "pop quiz" to start the class.
