SUBMISSION DATE: NLT Noon, Thursday, June 18 DEADLINE TO TEAM LEADERS: They will announce in each team POINTS: Up to 20 The next team exercise is quick and easy. The deadline: Thursday at noon. That's when I have to have the results. Team leaders can set their own deadline so they can process and send the information. Normally, this is the night before. Some "experts" hae argued that there is an increase in racial tensions, a backlash in justice. There are many factors underlying this, say the experts. Your task: 1. Find any recent article (within the past two weeks) that addresses the "backlash" issue or that describes any kind of increase in racial, gay, or gender "perceived justice" that might be rooted in ideology. 2. Explain whether the evidence shows that there has, in fact, been a backlash in the past six months. 3. If you find there has been no backlash, explain why you think some feel there has been a peception of one. 4. If there HAS been a backlash, identify the sources/cause of it and what can be done about it. This need not be long. Be sure to include at least two citations (links/URLS) or more to back up what you say. Discuss this in your teams, and the team leaders will post the results on WebBoard no later than noon on Thursday.
