NOTE: YOU MUST GET ACCESS TO PARTICIPATE IN SOME OF THE UPCOMING
TEAM EXERCISES AND PAPERS-FOR-POINTS

This exercise is the beginning of developing more intellectual rigor
as we finish out the last half of the semester. We will have exercises
based on solid research articles in backing up our claims. The first
step is learning to use the online library resource to access Jstor,
a site where many journals can be obtained.

There are three parts, all of which must be completed for credit.

1) Obtain access to the NIU library online service that allows you to
access journal articles from off-campus. Many of you already can do
this because of your work in other classes. Here are some
INSTRUCTIONS
If you have trouble, go to the library library (or call them) and ask how
you can obtain journal articles from Jstor from off-campus because you need
it for your summer online class.

2) Set it up on your computer. It's easy. If you have problems,
call the library. You will need your student ID (znumber) which you
all have.

3) Obtain (ie, download as a pdf file) one article from The Sociological
Quarterly and send it to me as an attachment.
