WORTH: Up to 15 points DUE: Tuesday, April 23 LENGTH: About 1,000 words (4+ pages) Some wardens feel that programs are an integral part of prisons. Others don't. Some feel that programs should be reserved for honor prisoners or lower security prisons. Others don't. Critique "Cain's Redemption" and discuss (drawing from your knowledge of Illinois prisons) how you would implement them in Illinois. What problems do faith-based programs pose? (a bit of googling on the issues and then tying it back to the book would help) (NOTE: Warden Cain is the warden of Angola State Penitentiary where NIU students have toured every year).
