Net Assignments, Sociology 488

I will place assignments here at the start of each module, so check 
periodically.  Although the Net Assignment section is worth about 30 percent 
of your total grade (200 points), I will place more than 200 points here.
You may do as many assignments as you wish, but your total score for this
portion of the class cannot exceed 200 points.

Assignments require several tasks:

  1) Knowledge of the material in our text
  2) The willingness to gather information beyond the text, either
     from the library (academic books, journals or similar sources)
     or from reliable sources on the Net (eg, gov't documents,
     reliable academic sources, or other homepages that are
     demonstrably valid)
  3) The ability to pull together information from various sources
     to fully address the issue at hand.
