1. For any two of the major theories we've read in chapters 5 and 6,
   assess the following:

      a) The historical context in which the theory developed
         (ie, what social/historical factors influenced it?)
      
      b) What is the definition of "crime/offense" (ie, legal?
         normative? transcendent?
      
      c) What are the key points of the theory?
      
      d) What kinds of questions is the theory best able or least
         able to address?
         
      e) What are the policy implications of the theory? (ie, how do
         we implement it?
