Will we use "skill and drill" exercises?


"Skill and drill" exercises are those point-and-ckick exericises in
which you are given a question with a few options, like a multiple choice
test, and then you click on the right answer.  

No, we will not be using those because of the instructor's belief that
they are passive, mindless, and a waste of everybody's time.

Nor will we have online chat sessions as lectures for much the same 
reason. However, we will have oppurtinities to engage in real-time
chat, but generally informally.
