NOW THAT I'M ON WEBBOARD, WHAT DO I DO? Once you're on WebBoard, do this: -- Look around at the various conferences and read a few of the topics. Look especially at the ANNOUNCEMENTS and INTRODUCTIONS -- After a few minutes, go to the area called "TEST" for test postings. Practice posting a few times to become used to writing or editing your posts. -- Read the new posts each time you log on and participate in those discussions you find interesting. At a minimum, you should post about three times a week, consistently over the term. However, quality, not quantity is the goal. -- Explore the features of WebBoard, such as CHAT, or PAGING USERS. -- If you want a separate conference started for a topic you don't see listed, let the instructor know. -- Be sure to post ONLY RELEVANT material in each conference. That is, in the "movies" conference, keep discussion limited as much as possible to movies. Avoid going off on tangents or posting questions about technical problems with your computer (there is a separate conference for that).
