YOU WILL SIGN UP FOR FOUR, MARKING YOUR TOP TWO CHOICES - I WILL SELECT THREE (each person will give three presentations in groups of three) Basics: --Presenters should talk in class a few weeks prior to their presentations --Presenters should exchange email addresses and discuss their plan --Presenters must get readings (about 3 to 5 for the group) to me at least nine days prior to the group's presentation, either as an attachment from Jstor or as a link to something on the Net. I will but them up about 7 days in advance. IT IS CRITICAL THAT I HAVE THEM ON TIME SO PEOPLE CAN READ THEM. Readings should NOT exceed 150 pages (80-120 is the norm, or about 4 or 5 20-25 page articles). The number of pages varies by difficulty, so a really tough paper that takes 5 hours to read should have either just one or two other readings or else some quick and easy ones) ================================================= SEPTEMBER 16: SPITTING ON THE SIDEWALK: MISDEMEANORS AND MINOR STUFF Emily (1) Jason (1) Liz (3) ================================================= SEPTEMBER 23: VIOLENT CRIME Izzy (2) Josh (2) Jackie C.
