Critique of Articles

DUE DATE: NO LATER THAN FRIDAY, FEB 15
WHAT: Article Critique
LENGTH: 4 to 5 pages
POINTS: Up to 10

You have abstracted an article for your first assignment. An abstract
is simply a summary with no "value-added" can can be short.

In this assignment, you will now critique that same article. To refresh what
a critique is, review our Guidelines for critique.

Your goal is to re-read the article that you abstracted in your first
required assignment. Then, do a critique. DO NOT do it as a point-by-point
short-answer from the guidelines. This is an essay in which you summarize
the key points of the article and then assess the credibility of the
argument, claims, theory, or whatever the author was doing.

To get maximum points, you should cite at least one or two additional
works to substantiate your own claims.

Remember: Critique is NOT criticism. It's a reasoned and balanced
assessment of a piece based on your own understanding of it and your
ability to connect it to related issues.
