Criminology theorists, like most theorists grounded in a particular
perspective who have been writing for a few decades, often shift their
position by either modifying it or by integrating other theories in it.

Jeffrey Reiman has been revising his Rich get Richer for nearly a quarter
century. From the library, or from Amazon or some other source, get a copy
of either the first or second edition of Reiman's work and compare and
contrast his 8th edition, the most recent, with his views of the 1980s
in the 1st or 2nd.
