And then answer the following in about 1,000-1,200 words:

1) What is Peacemaking Criminology (PMC) and how does it differ
from conventional criminological ideas (as reflected in your intro
criminology courses or in our text)?

2) How would corrections be different if PMC were the basis of
the criminal justice system?


3) Look up on the web "Restorative Justice" as it applies to juveniles.
Is the current interest in restorative justice by practioners
consistent with the philosophy of PMC as developed by the supporters,
or it just more of the same using a different vocabulary?

4) If you were given the job to introduce PMC-oriented policies into
Illinois, how would you do it? What political, economic, ideological
or other obstacles might you encounter?
