Everybody in Socioogy 170 MUST sign up for the class listserv (or discussion list). You will not receive points for this, but if you fail to do so by the middle of the time of the second exam, you will lose 5 points from your final class participation score. Failure to be signed up by the end of the semester (last class day) will result in a 10 point reduction from your class participation points. This list is primarily for the instructors to send out announcements and other important information to the class. We will put out a few study tips before the exams, announce extra credit, and distribute other information. It is NOT intended for general class discussion. Those whose email addresses were available from registration at the start of the semester should be on this list. If you have a preferred e-mail address other than you Z-address, let me know.
