Treating Women Prisoners Differently?

Read the two articles:
  1) The class zeroxed pieces
  2) The Women/gender piece (focus on distinction between parity and
     equality.

Then explain:

1) What is the "male model" of prison control? 

2) What are the differences between men and women that might
make the male model of prison control/administration inappropiate for
women?

3) As a prison administrator, what issues should you be aware of?

4) What's the difference between equality and parity?

5) Should we recognize gender differences in running prisons?
Or, should we administer them differently?
